Data Centre Engineer

Salary: £29,000 - 69,000 per year

• We require knowledge of both copper and fibre cabling systems.

• We require a flexible approach to working shifts, including days, nights, and on-call duties.

Responsibilities:

• We install and maintain structured cabling systems.
• We work with both copper and fibre cabling, primarily pre-terminated solutions.
• We support multiple data centre environments and critical infrastructure facilities.
• We follow strict processes, procedures, and quality standards.
• We carry out cable routing, dressing, labelling, testing, and documentation.
• We work safely and professionally within live operational environments.
• We participate in an on-call rota as required.

We are recruiting for an experienced Data Centre Engineer to join our team supporting multiple data centre environments across Leicester. This is an initial 6-month contract with a strong possibility of extension, offered on an inside IR35 basis with a competitive rate. The working pattern is 4 on/4 off, with rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, and immediate starts are available for suitable candidates. We provide a comprehensive training period of approximately 2-3 months, and after successful completion there may be opportunities to take on additional shifts and increase earning potential.
