Data Center Project Manager, Critical Projects Implementation

Salary: £60,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in vendor management
• Experience in a data center or other critical environment
• Experience in data center engineering or operations
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Preferred: Electrical or mechanical Journeyman License
• Preferred: Operating engineering license such as DC II, DC III, or equivalent
• Preferred: Experience in construction or project management

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee construction-related activities for modifications to existing infrastructure, including installing new equipment or replacing end-of-life equipment
• Own project scope, timeline, and budget
• Provide project management for initiatives that increase data center resiliency
• Review electrical designs and designs related to optimizing existing data centers
• Review construction and project package drawings
• Create project scope documents, request for proposals, and capital requests
• Ensure total project quality through commissioning plan creation and execution oversight
• Record and report key metrics to team members and management
• Support operations by reviewing procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives
• Drive troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis for equipment or electrical failures
• Work with contractors and vendors to deliver efficient, high-quality project turnovers
• Serve as a leader within the group and across internal and external teams that support the data center
