AI Security Researcher

Salary: £48,000 - 88,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong technical curiosity and sound judgement
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: exploit development, secure software development, vulnerability research, machine learning model development and understanding of the ML ecosystem, vulnerability research tools and frameworks, operating systems, networks and system architecture, or reverse engineering
• Nice to have: experience researching AI, machine learning or large language model security risks
• Nice to have: experience turning research ideas into working prototypes, tools or customer-facing demonstrations
• Nice to have: ability to explain technical findings to specialist and non-specialist audiences
• Must be eligible and willing to achieve DV clearance

Responsibilities:

• Research emerging AI threats, vulnerabilities and attack techniques
• Design and develop novel solutions, tools and prototypes that enable customer missions and inform decisions
• Perform vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering and security assessments across a range of platforms
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to transition research into real-world capabilities
• Contribute to technical reports and customer deliverables, explaining complex findings clearly
• Present to technical and non-technical audiences, communicating the relevance and impact of the work
• Keep up with developments in AI security and share practical insights with the wider team
