AI Architect
Job Description
Salary: £85,000 - 85,000 per year
Requirements:- Recognised Microsoft AI certifications or equivalent experience
- Proven track record architecting and delivering enterprise-grade AI and Copilot solutions
- Understanding of operationalising AI governance and managing data protection, hallucination and bias risks
- Knowledge of foundations across data, identity, security and compliance
- Confidence working with Risk, Legal, Data Protection and Information Security teams, shaping AI impact assessments and defining operating models
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Purview, sensitivity labelling, DLP, Entra ID and tenant boundary controls
- Programming literacy in PowerShell and Python, and familiarity with prompt engineering and agent design
- Eligibility to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available
- Must reside in England or Wales for the duration of employment
- Help establish the foundations for safe, responsible and scalable AI adoption
- Work with Digital Governance to implement AI standards, controls and assurance
- Apply requirements across data readiness, identity and security controls, licensing, compliance and user enablement
- Ensure AI solutions are secure-by-design, well engineered and aligned with enterprise architecture
- Prioritise AI demand toward high-value opportunities, including Copilot adoption and emerging agentic AI use cases
- Reduce duplication, unmanaged experimentation and AI sprawl
- Mentor and grow AI engineering capability within the Modern Workplace team, fostering responsible innovation, curiosity and continuous improvement
- Work with Modern Workplace architecture and engineering teams to deliver AI as part of a well-governed Microsoft 365 estate
- Partner with Digital Governance, Commercial, Risk, Legal, Data Protection and Information Security to build confidence in AI adoption

We are Clarion Housing Group, and we are offering a fixed-term role through June 2027 to help shape the future of AI at Clarion. The role is hybrid, with a base location at one of our offices across England; applicants must reside in England or Wales. The salary is £70,398–£87,998 per annum for a London base or £64,043–£80,054 nationally, with up to 10% above the advertised range considered in exceptional circumstances. The role is 36 hours per week, with flexible options considered. Travel is not a regular requirement, though attendance at in-person team meetings, workshops and stakeholder events may occasionally be needed.
