Remote Principal DevOps Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £59,000 - 99,000 per year
Requirements:- In-depth practical experience with AWS, including VPC networking and security, IAM, EC2, Postgres RDS, S3, and EKS
- Experience running production-level services in Kubernetes and managing and maintaining clusters
- Practical experience automating infrastructure management with Terraform
- Experience configuring and running CI/CD pipelines
- Experience supporting the operation of a hosted, multi-tenant SaaS product at scale
- Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback
- A pragmatic approach to work, prioritising iteration and value delivery over process and deliberation
- Nice to have: experience with .NET/C#
- Nice to have: experience in an agile development team focused on delivering value early
- Nice to have: experience building observability and alerting into systems
- Build and support multi-tenant infrastructure across multiple global regions, powered by AWS and Kubernetes
- Shape and drive the technical roadmap, taking ownership of engineering priorities and impact
- Maintain critical production infrastructure and help deliver a reliable service with minimal downtime
- Build and maintain automation that enables safe, frequent product releases
- Improve infrastructure security and the ability to detect and respond to issues
- Operate and evolve infrastructure to scale for a growing user base and support the development of our SaaS product
- Work closely with developers to ensure application and infrastructure changes are rolled out safely and smoothly
- Lead initiatives to strengthen security and protect customer data
- Collaborate with teams across the organisation to deliver infrastructure that supports their work
