Asset Servicing Solution Architect

Salary: £53,000 - 93,000 per year

Requirements:

• Extensive IT industry experience, particularly as a solution architect on large-scale transformation projects
• Experience with large-scale agile projects and DevOps practices, including CI/CD; knowledge of agile working at scale and frameworks such as SAFe is beneficial
• Proficiency in event-driven and service-based architectures, microservices, and RESTful APIs
• Experience with Java, Linux, OpenShift, Mainframe Tandem, or Azure Cloud
• Familiarity with integration and data technologies; experience with JavaScript front-end frameworks such as Angular is advantageous
• Ability to handle complex systems and problems across functions, locations, and organizations
• Ability to conduct architectural analysis and provide pragmatic suggestions with minimal mentorship, and to know when to escalate
• Ability to work on high-level strategic documents and address technical implementation challenges
• Strong analytical skills to break down complex problems and provide actionable solutions
• Pragmatic approach focused on fit-for-purpose results
• Ability to identify the need for change and propose innovative solutions to improve IT delivery processes
• Strong communication skills to advocate for architectural recommendations to project teams and senior management
• Ability to build positive relationships
• Knowledge of post-trade market infrastructures and Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as Open Agile Architecture or TOGAF is a plus
• Financial Services industry experience and a good understanding of Asset Servicing processes and related regulatory environments are beneficial
• Proficiency in English is required

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement end-to-end architecture solutions for IT initiatives, ensuring they meet functional, non-functional, and security requirements
• Work with requirement owners, domain architects, and IT engineers to develop high-quality solutions
• Connect Enterprise Architecture and IT delivery teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and domain target architectures
• Develop reusable solution patterns and building blocks, and contribute to the evolution of Solution Architecture and Software Engineering practices
• Apply hands-on technology and delivery experience to define domain target architectures and roadmaps focused on the Asset Servicing domain
• Participate in communities of practice with other architects to share methodologies and lessons learned
