Data Analyst

Salary: £35,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience using data to investigate fraud and inform detection or prevention decisions, rather than only working alongside a fraud team.
• Experience designing or improving fraud signals, user segments, or review processes, with an interest in how these decisions adapt as tactics evolve.
• Ability to work with product and other teams to turn analysis into operational fraud controls.

Responsibilities:

• Regularly review, add, remove, and refine fraud signals to distinguish suspicious activity from legitimate users; signals under consideration include IP spoofing, VPN use, and unusual play patterns.
• Own the fraud-related segments of our user segmentation system, deciding how signals should be interpreted and monitoring the categories effectiveness over time.
• Work with our product team on fraud verification tools for different markets. We currently use FaceTec for facial verification and may consider methods such as ID scanning or phone verification in other countries.
• Investigate users flagged for manual review, including ambiguous cases in the Tremendous queue, and identify ways to improve the review process.
• Identify gaps in available signals and recommend third-party tools for our product roadmap where useful.
