Application Manager

Salary: £85,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience as an Application Manager, Service Delivery Manager, IT Service Manager, or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of enterprise applications and SaaS environments
• Practical experience with ITIL and service management best practices
• Experience leading major incidents, problem management, and service improvement initiatives
• Strong supplier and vendor management experience
• Knowledge of application security, access management, and operational controls
• Experience in regulated environments, such as Financial Services, Insurance, Utilities, or other highly governed sectors
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Desirable: ITIL certification
• Desirable: Financial Services or Wealth Management experience
• Desirable: Experience managing application support teams and matrix resources
• Desirable: Exposure to audit, risk, and regulatory frameworks

Responsibilities:

• Own application service performance, availability, and operational resilience
• Lead major incident, problem, and change management activities
• Manage strategic technology suppliers and service partners
• Drive service improvements and reduce recurring issues
• Ensure effective governance, risk management, and audit compliance
• Support application change, service transition, and operational readiness activities
• Provide clear reporting on service health, risks, costs, and priorities
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, HR, Risk, and Compliance
• Lead and develop internal application support capability
• Oversee the day-to-day performance, governance, and lifecycle management of enterprise applications
• Work with business stakeholders, technology teams, and third-party suppliers to keep services secure, reliable, and aligned with business priorities
• Ensure applications operate within regulatory, security, and governance requirements
