Cyber Security Analyst

Salary: £59,500 - 91,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require 3+ years of experience working in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) and working with SIEMs, including evaluating SIEM alerts.
• We require experience using log aggregation and correlation tools (Splunk preferred), interpreting system, application, and network device logs, and performing packet capture and analysis.
• We require experience responding to security alerts, conducting data-based investigations, creating and developing alert rules (SNORT, YARA, SIEM), threat modeling environments, and identifying and handling security incidents.
• We prefer experience researching current threats and vulnerabilities affecting IT systems, as well as practical threat hunting in high-value information or high-threat processing environments dealing with persistent threats.
• We prefer an Information Security qualification or degree-level education in Information Security or a related area.
• We value certifications such as CISSP; CREST Intrusion Analyst or Cyber Threat Intelligence; SANS GNFA, GCIA, or GCIH; CompTIA Security+ or CySA+; and Splunk Enterprise Data Administration or System Administration.
• We require the ability to obtain United Kingdom Security Check clearance.
• We do not offer visa sponsorship. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense; relocation assistance is not available.

Responsibilities:

• We support the timely and effective management, configuration, and design of tooling, along with other SOC activities related to new and emerging cyber threats.
• We support the Security Specialist, Security Manager, or Functional Lead in identifying and continuously monitoring specific security risks.
• We continuously identify improvements to tooling and processes so our services align with industry and Boeing enterprise best practices.
• We configure and use SIEM, vulnerability management, and other security tools.
• We innovate in SIEM and SOC practices and develop best practices.
• We mentor and oversee the development of junior analysts.
• We work to defined SLAs and KPIs.
• We support incident response when required.
