Python Developer - GenAI

Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong commercial Python development experience
• Experience building APIs, microservices, and backend applications
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, Generative AI, and RAG
• Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI
• Experience with vector databases and semantic search
• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Llama, or similar models
• Good software engineering, testing, and Git practices
• Experience with AWS or Azure, Docker, and ideally Kubernetes
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar databases
• Experience with CI/CD using GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins
• Agile engineering experience
• Experience with AI agents, tool calling, embeddings, prompt engineering, or LLM observability is beneficial
• React/TypeScript and Terraform/IaC experience is beneficial
• Experience taking GenAI proofs of concept into production is highly beneficial
• SC eligibility and full right to work in the UK are required; sponsorship is not available

Responsibilities:

• Build production applications and APIs using Python and FastAPI
• Develop LLM, RAG, and AI agent solutions
• Build RAG pipelines covering embeddings, retrieval, and generation
• Work with LLMs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, and Llama
• Use AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI
• Work with vector databases including Pinecone, Qdrant, ChromaDB, and PGVector
• Take GenAI proofs of concept into production and scale them
• Build APIs, microservices, and AI integrations
• Deploy solutions using AWS or Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable Python code
• Work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Git, and CI/CD
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and client stakeholders

This is a coding-focused role working across the development lifecycle, turning GenAI ideas and proofs of concept into robust solutions. We offer a permanent, hybrid position with two days per week onsite and occasional travel to client sites. Locations are London, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, or Newcastle.
