Software Developer / Team Lead C# .NET

Salary: £95,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience providing technical or team leadership within a software engineering team
• Strong backend development skills with C# .NET; experience with other object-oriented languages may also be considered
• Strong system design experience, particularly with distributed systems and microservices
• Frontend experience with Vue.js, React, or modern Angular
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Production experience with AWS, ideally including SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, and Lambda
• Experience owning CI/CD and release processes, such as GitHub Actions
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar agentic tools, and a clear view of effective AI adoption
• Collaborative and pragmatic approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to explain technical decisions to engineering and business stakeholders
• Experience in payments, FX, or another regulated industry is beneficial

Responsibilities:

• Lead a squad across architecture, development, delivery, and production operations while remaining hands-on with production code and complex technical challenges
• Own system architecture, API design, technical decisions, design reviews, and code quality
• Partner with Product Managers on roadmaps, delivery plans, and priorities
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, one-to-ones, and feedback to support engineers development
• Drive continuous improvement and set standards for how the team builds, tests, and ships software
• Champion AI and agentic coding tools across the software development lifecycle and drive process improvements and modern techniques

This senior Software Developer / Team Lead role combines technical ownership, hands-on development, and responsibility for team growth.
