Mission Operations Engineer

Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience with spacecraft operations planning and delivery
• Knowledge of spacecraft operations and systems engineering
• Ability to review power management, memory limits, and thermal constraints
• Ability to prepare and execute payload and mission operation plans
• Ability to translate mission requirements into conflict-free schedules
• A self-starting approach to work
• A service background or knowledge of ITIL practices is beneficial, though not essential

Responsibilities:

• Generate mission operation plans for a cluster of satellites for multiple collects per day
• Work within satellite capabilities to schedule plans
• Query tasking requests and results in the Customer User Interface tool
• Track progress of data delivery
• Report on actual versus planned collects
• Raise tickets with the Support Desk for any operational issues
• Submit tasking requests to third parties to provide further satellite data
