Senior Python Developer - AI

Salary: £60,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Senior-level hands-on Python development experience
• Strong commercial experience building APIs, microservices and backend applications
• Practical experience with Generative AI, LLMs and RAG
• Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph or CrewAI
• Experience with vector databases and semantic search
• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Llama or similar models
• Strong software engineering, testing and Git practices
• Experience with AWS or Azure, Docker and ideally Kubernetes
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB or similar databases
• Experience with CI/CD using GitHub, GitLab or Jenkins
• Agile engineering experience
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience required for Senior Consultant level
• Experience with AI agents, tool calling, embeddings, prompt engineering or LLM observability is beneficial
• React/TypeScript and Terraform/IaC experience is beneficial
• Experience taking GenAI POCs into production is highly beneficial

Responsibilities:

• Build production applications and APIs using Python and FastAPI
• Develop LLM, RAG and AI agent solutions
• Build RAG pipelines covering embeddings, retrieval and generation
• Work with OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Llama and similar LLMs
• Use LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI or similar AI frameworks
• Work with vector databases including Pinecone, Qdrant, ChromaDB and PGVector
• Take GenAI POCs into production and scale them
• Build APIs, microservices and AI integrations
• Deploy solutions using AWS/Azure, Docker and Kubernetes
• Write clean, testable and maintainable Python code
• Work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Git and CI/CD
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and client stakeholders
