Field Service Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - 35,000 per year

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Organised and able to prioritise workloads and workflows.
• Approachable with outstanding customer service skills.
• Self-starter who can help formulate tactical plans to achieve department strategy.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Eligibility for SC Clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake work and activities that support the achievement of IT Team objectives in line with customer processes and procedures.
• Promote the IT Team to help develop the team profile and the wider IT function.
• Participate in internal meetings to share and develop knowledge and best practice.
• Provide end-to-end ownership of incidents and service requests to ensure issues are resolved effectively.
• Provide regular status updates on open tickets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business users to ensure service delivery meets expectations.
• Maintain and improve high standards of service to support continuous improvement.
• Investigate and resolve common desktop issues to ensure business continuity.
• Thoroughly investigate issues to assess next steps and determine whether escalation to the 3rd Line Team is required.
• Support other team members in achieving their objectives.
• Provide specialist support across hardware and software issues, maintenance calls and implementation requests within agreed service levels.
• Cover for Site Engineers when needed.
• Run scheduled Tech Bars.
• Help customers with day-to-day IT support.
• Travel to customer sites and adapt to different environments as required.
