Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Scala Developer, preferably within the Public Sector.
• Strong proficiency in Scala and the Play Framework.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with other functional programming languages.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
• Knowledge of security best practises in software development

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust applications using Scala.
• Utilise the Play Framework to build web-based applications.
• Deploy, manage, and optimise applications on AWS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Ensure best practises in software development and code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

We are seeking a skilled Scala Developer to join our remote team on an initial 3 month contract. The role offers a rate of £450 per day inside IR35. We are looking for someone with public sector experience, strong Scala and Play Framework expertise, and experience with AWS cloud services.
