IT Network Engineer

Salary: £27,500 - 29,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure and business systems.
• Experience with Cisco Meraki Cloud, SharePoint, Confluence, Jira and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
• Understanding of Internet Information Services (IIS).
• Working knowledge of Terminal CLI and SSH.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Passion for technology, continuous improvement and cyber security.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification, or equivalent networking qualification.
• A-Level (or equivalent) qualification in IT or a related subject.
• Minimum 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C/Level 4-9 or equivalent), including English and Maths.
• Experience with Fortinet FortiOS and supporting label printers and ZPL environments.
• Knowledge of Certero or Axonius.
• Understanding of reporting and analytics tools such as Metabase.
• HNC/HND in IT, Networking or a related discipline.
• Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain our IT infrastructure and network environment.
• Administer and manage Active Directory.
• Administer and manage Windows and Ubuntu servers.
• Administer and manage SQL Server and MySQL databases.
• Administer and manage VMware and vSphere virtual environments.
• Administer and manage Veeam backup solutions.
• Administer and manage Synology DSM platforms.
• Maintain technical documentation via Confluence.
• Provide Microsoft 365 support and maintain Windows operating systems.
• Manage network devices, including switches, firewalls, printer servers, laptops and desktops.
• Assist with software installations, upgrades and maintenance.
• Provide IT support to both office-based and remote users.
• Work closely with headquarters and international branch offices through Microsoft Teams.
• Support database management activities and generate system reports and enquiries.
• Contribute to IT security best practices and the prevention of cyber security threats.
