Quality Engineer

Salary: £48,000 - 88,000 per year

Requirements:

• Software Testing / Quality Engineering experience
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• GitLab experience, or strong Git knowledge
• Java and Spring experience
• Test automation framework experience
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Agile Scrum experience
• Quality-driven mindset
• Desirable: Playwright, JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber/Gherkin, OWASP ZAP, SonarQube, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Microservices, OpenAPI, WCAG and DevSecOps practices

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement automated testing solutions and frameworks
• Champion Quality Engineering and shift-left testing practices
• Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines
• Apply risk-based testing approaches across the delivery life cycle
• Collaborate with Developers, DevOps Engineers and Architects to ensure quality is embedded from the outset
• Contribute to functional, integration, performance, security and accessibility testing
• Coach teams on testing best practices and continuous improvement

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support the delivery of secure, mission-critical solutions within the Defence sector. You will work in an Agile environment, helping us drive quality throughout the software life cycle, champion automation, and support engineering teams in delivering reliable, resilient and secure systems. The role is based in Telford with 2 days on site each week, is inside IR35, and requires active BPSS clearance.
