IT Support Technician

Salary: £26,500 - 26,500 per year

Requirements:

• We are open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, and you do not need years of commercial experience.
• You should have a genuine interest in technology and a desire to build a long-term career in IT.
• You may have an IT-related degree, apprenticeship or qualification.
• You may have previous experience in a Service Desk, Helpdesk or IT Support role.
• You may have built or repaired your own PCs or laptops.
• You may have experience gained through education, placements, volunteering or personal projects.
• Ideally, you will have a good understanding of Microsoft Windows.
• Ideally, you will have knowledge of PC and laptop hardware.
• Ideally, you will have strong problem-solving skills.
• Ideally, you will have excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ideally, you will have a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide IT support to users via phone, email and face-to-face.
• Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, hardware and software issues.
• Set up and configure new user devices.
• Support Windows-based environments.
• Assist with user account administration and access requests.
• Escalate more complex technical issues where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records within the IT service desk system.
• Support IT projects and technology rollouts across the business.
• Occasionally travel to company sites if required.

We are a well-established organisation in Leeds with a growing support team. You will join a team of four IT professionals supporting around 400 users across 25 UK sites, giving you a great environment to learn, develop and gain hands-on experience across a broad range of technologies. This is a permanent, full-time role with a salary of £26,500 plus bonus, company pension, life insurance, 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing holiday entitlement with length of service, free on-site parking, ongoing training and development opportunities, and clear career progression within IT. The role is on-site in Leeds five days per week for the first three months, with hybrid working thereafter at three days on-site and two days remote.
