Salary: £30,000 - 63,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an IT Manager, IT Lead, Infrastructure Manager or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on technical expertise across Microsoft technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience managing Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
  • Experience designing and administering cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Strong networking knowledge including firewalls, VPNs, switching and wireless technologies.
  • Experience implementing and managing cybersecurity controls.
  • Strong knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint security.
  • Strong knowledge of access control and identity management.
  • Strong knowledge of security monitoring and threat mitigation.
  • Experience delivering IT projects from planning through execution.
  • Ability to work strategically while remaining hands-on and operational.
  • Experience supporting multi-site business operations.
  • Experience within aerospace, defence, manufacturing or engineering environments.
  • Knowledge of ERP platforms such as Epicor, SAP Business One, IFS, Microsoft Dynamics or similar.
  • Experience with ISO 27001 implementation and maintenance.
  • Experience achieving or maintaining Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Automate and broader Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Knowledge of data governance and information security best practice.
  • Exposure to NIST, NCSC or other recognised cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Experience managing websites, hosting environments and digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement our IT strategy aligned to business objectives.
  • Create and manage technology roadmaps for UK, US and European operations.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leadership regarding technology investment and digital transformation opportunities.
  • Establish and manage our IT policies, standards, procedures and governance framework.
  • Plan for future scalability, ensuring our systems and infrastructure can support international expansion.
  • Manage and support all business IT systems, networks, servers, cloud services and end-user devices.
  • Ensure high levels of system availability, performance and reliability across all sites.
  • Lead the deployment and support of IT infrastructure for new offices and facilities.
  • Manage relationships with external IT suppliers, software vendors and managed service providers.
  • Act as the primary technical expert for our Microsoft commercial technology stack.
  • Administer and optimise Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve collaboration, productivity and automation using Microsoft technologies.
  • Develop and maintain our cybersecurity strategy.
  • Manage cyber protection technologies including firewalls, endpoint protection, anti-virus solutions, security monitoring tools, multi-factor authentication, identity and access management, and backup and disaster recovery systems.
  • Maintain and improve security standards aligned with Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 and aerospace and defence customer security requirements.
  • Develop incident response and business continuity plans.
  • Lead cloud adoption and optimisation initiatives.
  • Evaluate and implement cloud-based solutions that support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs, simplify IT management and improve resilience through cloud technologies.
  • Support and develop key business applications and enterprise systems.
  • Act as a key stakeholder to liaise with external support for ERP, phone system, printers, internet service and other IT services.
  • Support management of our company websites and hosting platforms.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and digitalisation.
