Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, designing and implementing Hyper-V environments within enterprise infrastructure estates.
• Strong Windows Server administration skills, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and DFS.
• Experience supporting hybrid Microsoft 365 environments, including Entra ID, Exchange and identity integration.
• Demonstrable experience planning, testing and documenting disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
• Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure, networking and security principles.
• Experience delivering infrastructure projects, producing technical documentation, implementation plans and operational handover materials.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy a new Hyper-V environment to support future infrastructure and service requirements.
• Lead Windows Server rebuild and upgrade projects, including domain controllers, file servers and DFS services.
• Support and enhance Active Directory, Entra ID and hybrid Microsoft 365 integrations.
• Develop, test and document disaster recovery capabilities, including recovery playbooks, remediation actions and operational procedures.
• Deliver Exchange Server and Microsoft 365 hybrid infrastructure improvements, ensuring a secure and resilient messaging environment.
• Work with internal teams, MSPs and third-party suppliers to deliver infrastructure, networking and security projects across the estate.

We are supporting an organisation in the search for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to deliver several business-critical infrastructure transformation projects. The role is a 6-month contract based in Central London, with a rate of £400 - £500 per day. The successful engineer will contribute to major infrastructure initiatives across the business, including Hyper-V, Windows Server, Microsoft 365 hybrid services, disaster recovery, SharePoint migration and security improvements.
