Job Description

Salary: £45,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Proficient in designing and executing test cases across various test phases
  • Strong understanding of transaction flows, compliance logic, and reporting standards
  • Experience with test automation tools and automation frameworks, performance and load testing tools, and defect reporting and management tools
  • Skilled in writing SQL queries to validate data across databases, ETL pipelines, and reporting layers
  • Experience working with Microsoft Fabric workspace and notebooks
  • Experience validating data in relational and non-relational databases, including Cosmos DB
  • Experience validating data in data lakes and lakehouses, including Azure Fabric
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with CI/CD pipelines and sprint-based delivery cycles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work with internal and external stakeholders
  • Desirable: experience integrating QA workflows with Git, ADO, and other tools when needed
  • Desirable: experience working with data quality tools such as QC/TE
  • Desirable: understanding of QA practices in cloud environments
  • Desirable: understanding of financial regulations such as GDPR and SOX
  • Desirable: formal QA certification
Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure coverage across functional, regression, and integration scenarios
  • Review designed test cases with BA/DEV in a timely manner and begin execution
  • Validate financial calculations, transaction flows, compliance logic, and reporting across various platforms
  • Perform end-to-end data validation across ETL pipelines, databases, and reporting layers
  • Validate system performance through performance and load testing using appropriate tools
  • Develop and maintain test automation scripts using approved tools
  • Ensure systems and data meet regulatory requirements enforced by GDPR, SOX, and other applicable standards through targeted test scenarios and documentation
  • Log, track, triage, and report defects using agreed tools
  • Work collaboratively with product owners and business stakeholders to translate requirements into test cases and scenarios
  • Create, maintain, and update documentation and our internal knowledge repository
