Principal Backend Engineer Java Spring Boot AWS

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require experience within a financial services or Fintech environment.
• We require strong Java development skills, including multi-threading and concurrency.
• We require experience with Spring Boot and microservices environments.
• We require a good knowledge of REST APIs.
• We require a good understanding of AWS.
• We require a thorough understanding of software development and Computer Science fundamentals such as Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Design Patterns.
• We require familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• We are looking for someone who is collaborative, enjoys problem solving, and interacting with clients.

Responsibilities:

• We lead technical projects and client engagements from design through to delivery.
• We develop scalable Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices.
• We modernise and migrate legacy systems to AWS.
• We design and work with REST APIs and distributed systems.
• We introduce and improve CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• We provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and engineering teams.
