Senior UX Design Manager

Salary: £160,000 - 200,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in design, human-computer interaction, computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in product design, leading and shipping consumer mobile products.
• 4 years of direct people management experience.
• Experience in building and shipping AI products, integrating AI/ML technologies into user workflows, and using AI-driven tools to design workflows.

• Experience in resolving complex technical and organizational constraints, particularly within in-car platforms or mobile ecosystems.
• Experience translating evolving directions into user-centric approaches and driving impact across multiple cross-product initiatives with a group of stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using data and user analytics to inform design strategy and measure business impact.
• Ability to influence executives and cross-functional partners through compelling goal narratives.
• Strong grasp of emerging AI technology and trends.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the development and adoption of a modular, API-first Continuous Delivery ecosystem that unifies policy enforcement, observability, and infrastructure orchestration across all Google environments.
• Accelerate developer velocity by supporting our CD tools that handle 154+ million deployments annually across Alphabet.
• Transform how production incidents are detected, mitigated, and managed by centering the strategy on Autonomous AI agents that forecast and mitigate potential outages before they manifest.
• Deliver a simple, intelligent, and comprehensive platform that ensures unified and reliable observability across Alphabet by leveraging AI/ML for proactive insights and automated solutions.
• Build Clouds unified, enterprise-grade AI foundation that enables developers and organizations to build, scale, govern, and optimize autonomous agents across multi-cloud environments.
• Define product strategy, mitigate complexity, and conceptualize ecosystem-level UX.
• Guide the careers of our direct reports and help them realize their full potential while fostering a culture of forward-thinking design.
• Transform complex workflows into elegantly simple experiences.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product Management leaders to align business goals with design innovation.
