Lead Test Automation Developer

Salary: £38,000 - 78,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong test automation experience, including selecting and designing frameworks and building regression suites that stay reliable and maintainable as they grow.
• Proficiency in C++ and scripting languages appropriate to the task, such as Python; JUCE experience is an advantage.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI pipelines, ideally with Jenkins, including multi-platform build and test agents.
• The ability to lead a small squad: setting standards, reviewing work, and planning deliverables.
• Strong debugging, testing, and technical communication skills.
• Fluent spoken English with strong writing skills.
• Interest in music technology, creator tools, hardware/software integration, or audio workflows.
• A considered, practical view of AI-assisted test generation and the review discipline needed to use it well.
• You must qualify for employment in the UK.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a new squad delivering our test automation initiative for music production products.
• Select, implement, and maintain the automation framework, toolchain, and coding standards used across the initiative.
• Design and build the CI integration, including multi-platform agent configuration and test reporting.
• Develop the initial regression suite for a pilot project, establishing the patterns that product squads will follow.
• Publish and maintain a live coverage and results dashboard that gives clear visibility of automation progress and quality across products.
• Plan and track the squads work with Jira.
• Govern the use of AI-assisted test generation by selecting appropriate tooling, defining prompting and review standards, and ensuring AI-generated scripts meet quality thresholds.
• Work closely with our Director of Software Development, product squads, and QA to make adopting the framework and its patterns straightforward.
