AI Front End Developer

Salary: £40,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an engineer with experience delivering production-grade web applications used by real customers.
• We need strong experience with React and TypeScript, with care for architecture, readability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
• We value hands-on experience building real-time or streaming interfaces and keeping UIs responsive during asynchronous activity.
• We need confidence integrating with complex backends using REST, WebSockets, or SSE, and collaborating to shape APIs that support great user experiences.
• We look for strong design instincts and the ability to turn product intent into interaction patterns without heavily detailed specifications.
• We expect active use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar to prototype quickly and iterate at speed.
• We want someone who enjoys working cross-functionally and collaborating closely with product and AI engineering teams.
• Experience with AI-powered interfaces, design systems, or regulated software is beneficial, but curiosity and craft matter most.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build the core Mazlan workspace UI, a persistent and session-aware environment where users interact with AI agents and guided workflows.
• Create real-time interaction patterns such as streaming responses, live agent status, multi-step reasoning visibility, and clear agent handovers.
• Develop rich and structured output components that turn AI results into clear and actionable recommendations for regulated environments.
• Integrate closely with the orchestration platform by consuming streaming events, session context, confidence signals, and agent feedback.
• Manage complex frontend state so users keep their context even during long-running or multi-stage tasks.
• Build feedback and correction mechanisms that let users confirm, challenge, or redirect AI responses in a structured way.
• Own frontend performance and reliability by designing effective loading states, optimistic updates, and graceful error handling.
