Embedded Software Engineer - Senior

Salary: £40,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Deep expertise in embedded software development on Linux.
• C and C++ are essential.
• Proven background in building middleware and backend applications on Linux.
• Extensive experience working with multi-threaded systems and optimising performance-critical code.
• Experience with Rust is advantageous; training may be provided.
• Low-level Linux kernel and device driver development is advantageous.
• Experience with multimedia technologies such as DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB is advantageous.
• Experience with networking and streaming media protocols is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust, highly reliable middleware and backend applications on Linux.
• Work across the entire stack on next-generation embedded systems.
• Optimise performance in complex, multi-threaded systems.
• Write and optimise performance-critical code.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and test engineers.
• Help bring next-generation concepts to life in mission-critical connectivity products.
• Ensure the software underpinning these systems meets the highest standards of reliability and engineering excellence.
