IT Applications and Infrastructure Support Analyst

Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a seasoned professional with at least 5 to 10 years hands-on expertise at 2nd and 3rd level support.
• We require strong experience in 1st and 2nd line troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• We need experience writing documentation for knowledge base articles.
• We require exposure to market data, Bloomberg, and trader support.
• We need advanced Microsoft Windows experience, including troubleshooting and issue resolution through research and knowledge bases.
• We require Active Directory experience at a medium to high level, including security groups, administration/deployment, LDAP, and ADSI.
• We need Citrix XenApp administration, maintenance, and support experience.
• We require experience with Windows Server 2012/2016 environments, including design, deployment, maintenance, and support.
• We need experience with VMware virtualisation environments.
• We require experience with backups using various applications.
• We need networking experience, including design, troubleshooting, and installation across VLANs, routing, switching, TCP/IP, and OSI.
• We require router maintenance experience, including wireless configuration, installation, and setup.
• We need competent PowerShell skills, including backup, Azure, and EMC-related tasks.
• We require VPN administration and deployment experience.
• We need DNS administration experience for both internal and external environments.

Responsibilities:

• We support and deliver all aspects of service and client support as part of the support team.
• We handle workstation imaging, hardware configurations, and the deployment of software and hardware.
• We manage Active Directory, asset management, and ticket queuing through Alloy Navigator.
• We act as the central point for incoming IT queries and issues.
• We follow ITIL best practice to maintain high standards of operations.
• We liaise with colleagues in London and external third parties to resolve complex matters.
• We support IT migration projects from legacy to new systems and lifecycle projects.
• We keep key IT data up to date and maintain it to a high standard for audit compliance.
• We help ensure the Support Team achieves SLA targets.
• We maintain knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and adhere to the Banks Risk and Compliance policies and procedures.
• We report policy or procedure breaches, potential non-compliance, and suspicions promptly.
• We execute controls within our area to minimise the risk of policy, procedure, or regulatory breaches.
• We identify new risks and control gaps and escalate them appropriately.
• We train under a Senior IT Engineer / Head of Infrastructure during the probation period.
• We take ownership of small side IT desk projects during probation to support and deliver IT projects.
• We complete annual mandatory regulatory refresher training and recommended technical and behavioural competencies training.

We are a bank based in Central London offering a permanent IT Applications and Infrastructure Support Analyst role on a full-time basis. The position is hybrid, with three days in the office in Central London and some remote working possible. The salary range is 50,000 to 65,000. The role sits within a proactive support team working across service delivery, IT migrations, lifecycle projects, and regulatory compliance in a professional banking environment.
