Senior Software Developer

Salary: £63,000 - 103,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• We require expert-level knowledge of Python and at least one mainstream framework such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• We strongly prefer experience with Angular, HTMX, and Alpine.js.
• We require proven experience with PyTest, Playwright, and Locust.io.
• We require extensive experience with Oracle, MS-SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, including advanced querying, schema design, and performance tuning.
• We require a proven track record of working with Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience with Java (JSF, ADF) or C# is a significant plus.
• We require a bachelors degree in Computing Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

• We design and maintain robust, scalable web applications using Python and frameworks such as Django.
• We build dynamic, responsive user interfaces using Angular for complex SPAs, or HTMX and Alpine.js for modern reactive workflows.
• We develop and maintain end-to-end testing suites using PyTest and Playwright to ensure cross-browser reliability.
• We implement and execute load testing strategies using Locust.io to validate system scalability.
• We optimize and manage large-scale databases, ensuring data integrity and high performance.
• We deploy and manage applications in secure, privately hosted containerized environments, specifically OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• We design and implement agentic development approaches, integrating LLMs and autonomous agents into application workflows to enhance automation and user experience.
• We work in high-velocity, full-stack Agile environments.
• We guide junior developers and conduct constructive code reviews.
• We take ownership of projects and work independently with minimal supervision.
