AI / Agentic Software Developer

Salary: £48,000 - 52,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a strong software developer with genuine hands-on experience building AI agents and agentic systems.
• We want someone who is first and foremost a capable commercial software developer and who has personally designed and built meaningful AI-agent technology.
• You should ideally have solid experience with Python, PostgreSQL/SQL, REST APIs, React/TypeScript, Git, automated testing, containers/cloud, and sound software-engineering principles including database design, transactions, concurrency, security and maintainable code.
• We are particularly interested in practical experience with OpenAI and/or Claude agent technology, MCP, tool/function calling, agent orchestration, multi-agent systems, durable workflows, memory/state, RAG/retrieval, evaluations, tracing, observability, permissions and guardrails.
• You must be able to provide a reviewable AI-agent project that you personally created or made a substantial contribution to.
• We will assess both conventional software-engineering ability and agent-engineering work, including what you personally designed and implemented.

Responsibilities:

• Build reliable, secure, production-quality agentic software rather than experimental demos.
• Work on AI Automated software where AI agents increasingly work alongside developers and operational systems.
• Show us something you have actually built as part of the application process.
• Provide a live demonstration, recorded walkthrough, repository access, or appropriately redacted code for review.

The role is paid at £48,000.00-£52,000.00 per year and includes casual dress, company pension, free parking, and on-site parking. The work location is in person.
