Requirements:

• Strong Business Analysis experience across a variety of business and technology projects.
• Excellent business process mapping, process improvement, and operating model design skills.
• Proven ability to elicit, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirements gathering sessions.
• Strong gap analysis, impact assessment, root cause analysis, and problem-solving capability.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear, structured requirements for technical and delivery teams.
• Experience supporting testing, change management, training, and business readiness activities.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
• Comfortable working across both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
• Experience working on Finance ERP implementations is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Support a Finance-focused transformation programme within a large organisation.
• Work as a true all-round Business Analyst across senior stakeholder engagement, business process analysis, requirements definition, and delivery support through to implementation.
• Analyse and improve business processes and operating models.
• Define and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirements gathering sessions.
• Carry out gap analysis, impact assessment, and root cause analysis.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements for technical and delivery teams.
• Support testing, change management, training, and business readiness activities.
• Work across both projects and programmes in Agile and Waterfall environments.

We are offering a 6-month initial contract with a high chance of extension, with onsite working required 3 days per week in Liverpool. The rate is £400 per day Outside IR35. We are looking for an experienced Contract Business Analyst to join a large organisation supporting a Finance-focused transformation programme. This is a well-rounded role within a collaborative delivery environment, and we are seeking someone with strong process analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management skills.
