Lead Full Stack Engineer

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• We seek engineers who bring extensive professional software development experience, with demonstrated depth in full stack engineering and system/application architecture.
• We seek a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is a plus.
• We value prior experience in securities, financial services, or modern engineering-first organizations.
• We require strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and the design of RESTful and streaming-based APIs.
• We look for hands-on experience delivering cloud-native solutions, including microservices, containerization, and modern deployment patterns.
• We look for working knowledge of NoSQL and distributed data stores, selected and applied appropriately at scale.
• We value experience leveraging AI-enabled capabilities, including GenAI or ML-driven services, to enhance developer productivity, system intelligence, or customer outcomes, with a pragmatic understanding of responsible use, scalability, and integration into enterprise platforms.

• We ramp up quickly in new domains, technologies, and problem spaces as needs evolve.
• We apply strong engineering fundamentals across software design, data, testing, and distributed systems.
• We use AI-enabled tools deliberately across design, coding, testing, review, and documentation, while maintaining human accountability for high-risk decisions, verification, and final quality.
• We build software with a reliability-first mindset, incorporating secure coding practices, observability, testing, and disciplined rollout/rollback strategies.
• We ensure production systems meet required levels of resiliency, performance, scalability, and operability.
