Founding Engineer

Salary: £55,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to deliver product in a tech startup environment
• Experience integrating third-party data providers and APIs in production environments
• Experience working with complex data models and multi-party workflows
• Experience across full-stack web development, data analysis, and applied AI
• Appetite for experimenting with new technologies and tools to drive innovation and creativity
• Experience building products in regulated or highly structured industries such as insurance, fintech, payments, health, or govtech would be a big advantage
• Familiarity with compliance-aware system design, including auditability, permissions, data lineage, and security-by-default
• Exposure to marketplace, platform, or workflow orchestration systems
• Prior experience as an early or founding engineer at a startup

Responsibilities:

• Architect and build the core Konduit platform
• Deliver the MVP and onboard early customers
• Feed into product strategy and commercial goals to identify opportunities to quickly deliver customer value
• Establish engineering best practices, infrastructure, and security foundations
• Develop the Konduit canonical data model that underpins our platform
• Integrate external data sources to power an intelligent allocation layer

The role is for a Tech Lead / Founding Engineer in our London Studio on a full-time, onsite basis, working directly with the CEO to shape the platform, technical vision, and the future of the company.
