Cloud DevOps Architect Consultant

Salary: £66,500 - 91,000 per year

Requirements:

• Current DV (Developed Vetting) clearance.
• Experience in cloud implementation such as application development and infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS SAM, CloudFormation)
• Experience with python/Bash/Go scripting
• Understand the importance of observability and have built systems to focus on early insight into issues using monitoring and alerting
• Pioneer DevOps/SRE best practices with a curious mind and an ability to mentor junior employees
• Able to design and build frameworks or toolsets to be reused by the wider engineering community
• Desirable: coordinate the work of a small team of junior engineers, or the build of a sizable application or tooling component

Responsibilities:

• Enhance our engineering strategy within Cloud & Engineering and maintain DevOps excellence throughout Cloud Native & App Development
• Serve as a technical and inspirational leader who builds motivated, inclusive teams
• Engage with the tech community internally and externally to become a subject matter expert and help shape our opinions on modern technologies
• Spearhead best practice development
• Drive innovation and technology forward, collaborating with cross-functional teams and using cutting-edge tools
• Build and operate technical platforms and systems that underpin client projects
• Work across platform and site reliability engineering areas such as infrastructure and environment management and build, continuous delivery and deployment, and code governance
• Embed with developers, business analysts, and test managers to ensure systems are fast, maintainable, and able to handle frequent incremental change
