Help Desk Engineer – Datacentre / Server & Storage Solutions

Salary: £35,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements:

• Previous technical support experience involving server hardware, storage or datacentre infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of enterprise/server-grade hardware and systems, with the ability to diagnose hardware faults.
• Experience troubleshooting servers, storage, operating systems and associated networking issues.
• Hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Experience supporting customers through technical incidents from initial diagnosis through to resolution.
• Exposure to Supermicro server solutions, hardware RMAs and warranty support would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Provide enterprise-level support across server and storage infrastructure.
• Diagnose hardware failures and troubleshoot server and networking issues.
• Manage RMAs and coordinate warranty repairs for customers.
• Support customers operating business-critical datacentre environments.
• Work within a specialist server hardware support role rather than traditional desktop/end-user IT support.

This is a specialist role based in St Albans with hybrid working, requiring just 1–2 days per week in the office.
