Senior Software Developer

Salary: £60,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong experience with Java or another object-oriented language.
• Experience with Oracle/SQL and relational databases.
• Knowledge of Hibernate, JUnit, JMS, and XML.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience mentoring or leading developers.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Logistics or warehouse automation experience is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and support commercial software using Java and Oracle.
• Provide 2nd level support and troubleshoot complex customer issues.
• Lead technical investigations and root cause analysis.
• Manage fixes, patches, and software releases.
• Mentor and support junior developers.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Service Account Managers.
• Create technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Support continuous improvement and system stability.
