Senior Lead Developer - Databricks Data Factory SQL

Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake and Databricks
• Proven capability in building efficient data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS, and API integrations
• Proficiency in PowerBI or similar reporting tools
• Demonstrated ability to work within multifunctional, fast-moving product teams
• Strong spoken and written English skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear technical tasks
• A proactive mindset, eager to provide guidance to less experienced developers and support collaborative pair-programming
• Experience with PySpark or PySQL
• Experience in dimensional modelling and data warehousing principles
• Experience with SQL Server SSAS Tabular and DAX
• Exposure to SQL Server RDBMS and Managed Instance
• Knowledge of Azure Event Hubs or Active Batch
• A keen interest in applying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to real-world data problems

Responsibilities:

• Join our Business Intelligence Systems team as we transition from legacy architectures to a modern cloud-first data ecosystem
• Use data, analytical, and reporting tools to develop new products, optimise existing solutions, and support users across the business
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Product, Marketing, and Contact Centre to design, build, and support critical data solutions
• Leverage Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Power BI to innovate and streamline workflows
• Develop solutions tailored to business requirements, including cost-saving efficiencies, cyber resilience, and data security controls
• Support data ingestion pathways
• Execute data compliance frameworks
• Optimise internal workflows to maximise process efficiency and operational stability
