Senior Software Engineer Gloucester National Security West

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for experienced Software Engineers to join our team.
• We want a good understanding of back-end programming languages such as Java, C++, Node.JS, Python and C.
• We are looking for someone with the desire to solve complex technical problems and help our customers achieve their goals.
• We are looking for someone with the aspiration to learn new skills and improve themselves where possible.
• Knowledge of cloud engineering such as AWS, Docker and Microservices is desirable but not essential.
• We need the ability to work as part of a team, share knowledge and be involved with our Agile ways of working.

Responsibilities:

• Design, code, test, correct and document simple programs.
• Assist in the implementation of software that forms part of a properly engineered information or communications system.
• Provide accurate estimates of development effort needed to design, code and test software from given specifications.
• Focus on data processing.
• Work on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Mentor junior level developers and provide oversight where applicable.
• Logically analyse code defects and produce timely code fixes.
