Job Description
Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year
Requirements:- We require a level 1 Agile qualification such as PSM1, CSM, DASM, KMP, or ICP.
- We ideally want you to be studying towards, or have achieved, a level 2 / advanced qualification in Agile.
- We value significant experience of at least one, ideally two Agile frameworks and associated methods, with preference for Scrum and Kanban.
- We expect experience of working in an Agile iterative and/or incremental environment, regularly solving problems and delivering value to customers.
- We look for the ability to communicate why Agile as well as how to do Agile to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- We value experience of adopting Lean principles with examples of positive impact on customer value delivered.
- We want a pragmatic, agnostic Agile approach, selecting methods and techniques best suited to context.
- We look for experience of scaling Agile ways of working across at least two teams using a core scaling framework such as Disciplined Agile, Nexus, LeSS and/or SAFe.
- We value knowledge of Agile practices and techniques such as Story Mapping, Impact Mapping, Event Storming and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD).
- Experience of working in a DevOps environment is beneficial.
- We want a self-learner who rapidly expands knowledge of Agile practices, frameworks, and techniques.
- We value strong behavioural traits including critical thinking, emotional intelligence, influence, autonomy, and a servant-leader mindset.
- Your background may come from computer science, pure science, business, military, or another field, as long as you can demonstrate agile knowledge and application in context.
- We establish Scrum as defined in the Scrum Guide and help everyone understand Scrum theory and practice.
- We enable the Scrum Team to improve its practices within the Scrum framework.
- We facilitate and encourage backlog grooming and refinement, working with the Product Manager/Product Owner and the team.
- We champion early detection and removal or mitigation of cross-team dependencies.
- We typically support two teams and demonstrate the 8 Stances of the Scrum Master.
- We establish Sprint Goals and enable the team to focus on and achieve them.
- We ensure Sprint Goals are aligned to quarterly team-level Programme Increments and associated value definitions.
- We embed good Agile practices and ways of working at team level and influence the Engineering and Product departments through wider conversations.
- We discover and commit Objectives and Key Results at team level to measure the success of ways of working changes.
- We use metrics as feedback to establish a culture of evidence-based continuous improvement.
- We coach and influence the Scrum Team to improve ways of working while balancing Better Value Sooner Safer Happier.
- We proactively identify, triage, unblock, and escalate impediments impacting the Scrum Team.
- We establish a culture of preventing impediments before they occur.
- We support the team in achieving Better Value Sooner Safer Happier.
- We support the team to discover options for improving Agile ways of working and explain why.
- We articulate and challenge ideas relating to agility and DevOps to better align outputs to outcomes delivering customer value.
- We work with a high degree of autonomy with the team to determine effective ways to deliver value in an emergent context.
