Sr Site Reliability Engineer

Salary: £30,000 - 30,000 per year

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or site reliability
• Experience building and scaling complex, impactful software products in a team environment
• Strong ability to drive technical solutions across multiple teams
• Strong experience with Terraform and CI/CD
• Strong experience managing infrastructure in the cloud, preferably AWS or Azure
• Experience using languages such as Go, Python, C#, Java, or similar
• Experience designing tooling to simplify operational management of SaaS/PaaS systems
• Strong software development background with fluency in Go or Python
• Deep experience designing and operating cloud platforms
• Empathy and a collaborative mindset to support software engineers

Responsibilities:

• Build robust, easy-to-use foundational platforms and tools that enable engineering teams to provision infrastructure rapidly, consistently, and securely across multiple cloud providers
• Write code in Go that is performant, maintainable, clear, and concise
• Champion and enforce Infrastructure as Code best practices and coding standards
• Debug problems in cloud-native distributed systems using strong problem-solving skills
• Influence and educate the engineering organization to adopt new and improved architectural patterns
• Provide robust documentation for engineers to promote self-service
• Drive the development of a next-generation infrastructure provisioning and automation platform
• Build and evolve systems that use automation and intelligent agents to generate, validate, test, and operate infrastructure at scale
