Information Security Lead

Salary: £30,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience in information security assurance within regulated or defence environments
• Strong understanding of UK security standards, including government and defence frameworks
• Experience producing security documentation and assurance artefacts
• Ability to manage and mitigate risks in complex environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders
• Relevant professional experience in information security, risk management, or cyber security
• Certifications such as Certified Information Security Professional, Certified Information Security Manager, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer are desirable
• The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check security clearance for this role

Responsibilities:

• Lead information security assurance across multiple major infrastructure projects
• Develop and maintain assurance plans aligned with recognised frameworks
• Manage security risks, controls, and evidence to support compliance
• Engage with stakeholders, including Ministry of Defence representatives, on assurance activities
• Support audits, bids, and ongoing security improvement initiatives
