ServiceNow Platform Owner

Salary: £117,000 - 143,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience in ServiceNow platform leadership or enterprise-scale platform ownership.
• Strong track record of managing technical engineering and DevOps teams at scale within a multi-country or matrixed corporate delivery environment.
• Experience driving platform governance frameworks, managing technical debt, and handling complex upgrade paths.
• Solid understanding of enterprise-wide transformations involving ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and emerging AI capabilities.
• Practical background in maturing DevOps operations, including CI/CD adoption, automated testing, and agile delivery principles.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical delivery teams and senior business leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Own the platform lifecycle, including run, maintain, and improve activities, while managing technical governance decisions.
• Establish and enforce architecture standards that minimize customisation and protect platform health.
• Execute the prioritized ServiceNow roadmap in alignment with demand backlog, delivery capacity, and business transformation goals.
• Direct and manage ServiceNow DevOps engineering teams, overseeing deployment frequency, release quality, capacity planning, and platform reliability.
• Mitigate day-to-day operational risks, technical debt, and platform upgrade conflicts.
• Run change governance forums and CAB processes.
• Partner with business leaders, product owners, and architects to translate technical performance into business outcomes and support executive decision-making.
• Support the management of strategic third-party delivery partners and vendors to ensure cost control, quality, and compliance with corporate delivery standards.

We are seeking a Contract ServiceNow Platform Owner to act as the operational custodian of our ServiceNow platform across the enterprise. In this role, we lead a dedicated team of DevOps engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and well-governed solutions within a complex, multi-country environment, while driving roadmap execution, governance, and measurable business value.
