Solution Architect

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar senior architectural role.
• Strong background in designing enterprise or cloud-native architectures.
• Experience operating in multi-team, distributed delivery environments.
• Ability to balance technical depth with commercial and stakeholder alignment.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Experience aligning architecture across application and/or data platforms.
• Familiarity with API-driven and integration-based ecosystems.
• Nice-to-Have: Experience with .NET, Java ecosystems.
• Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js, etc.).
• Nice-to-Have: Understanding of data platform integration concepts.
• Nice-to-Have: Experience contributing to longer-term product or technology roadmaps.
• Nice-to-Have: Background in regulated or large enterprise environments.

Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain end-to-end solution architecture across enterprise applications and data platforms.
• Translate business and stakeholder requirements into scalable technical designs.
• Ensure alignment between frontend, backend, integration, and data components.
• Establish and enforce architectural governance, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal technical and data specialists who handle deep implementation.
• Lead architecture discussions with client stakeholders and provide strategic technical guidance.
• Support long-term roadmap planning and capacity forecasting.
• Identify architectural risks, trade-offs, and opportunities for optimization.
• Review solution designs and guide engineering teams across distributed locations.
• Communicate architectural decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
