Senior DevOps Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong AWS experience is essential; we are looking for AWS-focused experience rather than Azure.
• Solid grounding in security principles and secure-by-design practices.
• Experience with CI/CD, containerisation, Infrastructure as Code, and testing frameworks.
• Comfortable leading design work and mentoring early-career engineers.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• SC clearance is required or you must be clearable.

Responsibilities:

• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Design platform services for deployment, operation, and monitoring of containerised products.
• Build new infrastructure rather than only maintaining existing environments.
• Work across public and private cloud environments, primarily AWS.
• Support Agile delivery in Scrum/Kanban environments.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Manage customer relationships.
• Take a leading role across the project lifecycle, from architecture and build through to delivery.

We are a long-standing consultancy supporting highly secure, technically challenging projects for UK Government clients, with a mission to help make the UK the safest place to work online. We offer a predominantly home-based role with occasional travel to client sites in London, ideally for candidates based near Bristol, Cheltenham, or Manchester.
