Python Developer - Geospatial Image Processing

Salary: £85,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong Python backend development skills
• Good knowledge of geospatial or image processing technology
• Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude in your everyday workflow
• Experience in a start-up or small business, with a preference for Greenfield projects and ownership
• Collaborative with great communication skills and able to take part in technical discussions and decision making
• Degree educated in a STEM discipline
• Ruby experience is useful but not essential

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Greenfield, data-centric applications that monitor Arctic ice flows and other data points
• Build Python backend services end to end, from ideation through to production
• Take ownership of projects and new features
• Develop applications for clients in government, defence, energy exploration and conservation
• Contribute to technical discussions and decision making as part of a collaborative team
