Python Developer - Geospatial Image Processing
Job Description
Salary: £85,000 - 85,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong Python backend development skills
- Good knowledge of geospatial or image processing technology
- Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude in your everyday workflow
- Experience in a start-up or small business, with a preference for Greenfield projects and ownership
- Collaborative with great communication skills and able to take part in technical discussions and decision making
- Degree educated in a STEM discipline
- Ruby experience is useful but not essential
- Design and develop Greenfield, data-centric applications that monitor Arctic ice flows and other data points
- Build Python backend services end to end, from ideation through to production
- Take ownership of projects and new features
- Develop applications for clients in government, defence, energy exploration and conservation
- Contribute to technical discussions and decision making as part of a collaborative team
