Requirements:
  • Proven experience within a business intelligence, performance management, data analysis or management information environment.
  • Strong experience analysing data from multiple sources and turning complex information into clear business insight.
  • Experience producing performance reports, dashboards and management information for managers and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of performance measurement, KPIs and using data to support service improvement.
  • Experience identifying and resolving data quality issues and discrepancies.
  • Experience developing or improving automated reporting and data processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with databases, business systems and/or data reporting platforms.
  • Ability to understand complex business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain analytical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Experience within local government, housing, social housing, property services or the wider public sector would be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of housing management, repairs, asset management or regulatory performance reporting would be beneficial.
  • Experience working with housing or property-related systems would be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc performance reports, management information and business intelligence for operational and senior management teams.
  • Analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide clear and actionable performance information.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate business needs into effective data solutions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and support services in understanding performance against agreed targets and standards.
  • Provide analysis to support regulatory reporting, service assurance and performance management.
  • Investigate data quality issues, discrepancies and anomalies, working with relevant teams to resolve underlying causes.
  • Develop and improve automated reporting processes to increase accuracy, efficiency and timeliness.
  • Bring together information from housing, repairs, compliance, assets and tenant services to provide a consistent view of operational performance.
  • Support the development and refinement of performance measures, reporting methodologies and business intelligence processes.
  • Work with technical and operational colleagues to improve the use and quality of information held within core business systems.
  • Analyse business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, data capture and service delivery.
  • Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and use of performance data.
  • Investigate complex data queries and present findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Support service transformation and continuous improvement initiatives through evidence-based analysis.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation relating to reporting processes, data sources and performance measures.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of performance management and business intelligence across the organisation.

We are partnered with a public sector organisation seeking an experienced Business Intelligence and Performance Officer to join our established Communities and Homes function. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced data and performance professional to join a complex public sector environment supporting housing and property services through business intelligence, performance reporting, data analysis and service improvement. The role works closely with managers and senior stakeholders, providing accurate and meaningful insight to support operational planning, financial management, regulatory requirements and strategic decision-making. We offer an initial 3-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension to 6 months, a rate of £350+ per day umbrella, hybrid working with 2-3 days per week on-site, and the opportunity to contribute to service transformation, performance improvement and data-driven decision-making.
