Security Engineer

Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in security engineering, cloud security, or platform security
• Strong understanding of security fundamentals, including networking, cloud security, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and virtualisation
• Experience with SIEM and log management platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Cribl, or ELK
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP security services
• Scripting or automation experience using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience with vulnerability management, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience working within a SOC environment or knowledge of AI security/hardening techniques is advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions across our client environments
• Support security tooling for threat detection, incident response, and security monitoring
• Partner with engineering and security teams to embed secure development practices
• Automate security processes, including SIEM integrations and log ingestion
• Support firewall and network security management across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
• Develop security policies, standards, and procedures
• Conduct infrastructure security assessments using tools and frameworks such as CIS benchmarks
• Help our clients improve their security posture through proactive security engineering
