Quality Engineering Lead, QA Automation AI

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of modern software testing in SaaS Azure environments
• Experienced, automation-focused QA Engineer with strong knowledge of Playwright and AI tools
• Experience working in product-led SaaS environments
• Ability to set test strategy and influence a wider technology function
• Technical leadership or management experience
• C# coding skills
• Collaborative and pragmatic approach, with stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities:

• Shape the strategic approach to quality for our Platform Team while remaining hands-on
• Define and implement our platform QA strategy
• Drive improvements to automation, processes, tooling, and engineering standards
• Identify how agentic coding and AI-assisted development can improve test coverage and engineering productivity
• Lead and develop two direct reports
• Act as a QA thought leader, challenge existing practices, introduce better ways of working, and help engineering teams embed quality throughout the development lifecycle
• Work hands-on with test automation tools including Playwright and Cypress, as well as security testing technologies
• Balance strategic thinking with practical delivery to help keep our platform robust, secure, and reliable
