Power BI Developer

Salary: £29,000 - 69,000 per year

Requirements:

• Direct experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards, with strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
• Working knowledge of databases, SQL Server, DAX and Power Query
• Experience designing and maintaining data models for reporting and analytics
• Good understanding of data quality, reporting governance and best practice
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Confident communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions
• Experience with Microsoft Dataverse, Salesforce, Qlik Sense, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI security and deployment, or Azure is advantageous
• Curious, collaborative and proactive, with commercial awareness and an interest in improving ways of working

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop clear, engaging and user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards, modernising manual and Excel-based reporting
• Develop DAX measures, calculations and KPIs, and use Power Query to cleanse, transform and prepare data for analysis
• Design and maintain efficient data models and reusable datasets across SQL Server, Dataverse, Salesforce and other business data sources
• Manage the Power BI environment, including workspaces, datasets, refresh schedules, report distribution, security and governance
• Work with stakeholders to understand reporting challenges, define requirements and translate them into practical Business Intelligence solutions
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve reporting, contributing to the development of our data and analytics capabilities

We are partnering with an Ipswich-based business to recruit a permanent, full-time Power BI Developer. The role is hybrid in Ipswich, Suffolk, with hybrid working available following successful completion of probation. The salary is circa £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus an annual bonus of up to 10% (OTE circa £44,000).
