IT Technician

Salary: £32,000 - 37,000 per year

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an IT Support or IT Technician role.
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and Windows Server.
• Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPN technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work independently.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Windows Autopilot.
• PowerShell.
• Backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• CCTV and access-control systems.
• IT project, migration or deployment experience.
• Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL or networking certifications.
• Experience within industrial, engineering, manufacturing or mining environments.
• Reliably commute to Plymouth PL7 5BW or plan to relocate before starting work.
• Driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first- and second-line IT support.
• Act as the first point of contact for IT incidents and requests.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
• Administer Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Manage devices and policies using Microsoft Intune.
• Support Active Directory, Group Policy and Windows Server.
• Build, deploy and maintain Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls.
• Support wired and wireless networks, VPNs and telephony systems.
• Assist with cyber security, patching and backups.
• Maintain IT asset and licence records.
• Support IT projects, upgrades and deployments.
• Liaise with external suppliers and support providers.
• Assist with CCTV and access-control systems where required.
