IT Helpdesk and Field Engineer

Salary: £30,000 - 34,000 per year

Requirements:

• Previous experience within an IT support or MSP environment
• Strong 1st and 2nd line support experience
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365
• Basic networking knowledge including routers, DNS and firewall configurations
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good attention to detail and ticket documentation
• Full UK driving licence
• Previous MSP experience
• Exposure to Windows Server environments
• Experience with Datto, Kaseya, IT Glue or Autotask
• Knowledge of security products such as Trend or BitDefender
• Microsoft certifications or willingness to train further

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to end users
• Support clients both remotely and onsite
• Install and configure desktops, laptops and associated IT hardware
• Support Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments
• Assist with Windows Server support and administration
• Manage and update support tickets accurately
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot technical issues
• Support firewall, router, DNS and networking configurations
• Work closely with the wider helpdesk and field engineering team
• Deliver excellent customer service both in person and over the phone
